She isAdventure Time the perfect example of a self-starter making it big. She dropped out of photography school but became interested in comics while working at her local Canadian comic shop. She started her own webcomic, Kate or Die, which became popular enough to be picked up by the Comics Alliance. Her fanart got her a contract working for BOOm! Studios on Adventure Time. She went on to write Dynamite’s Vampirella and Marvel’s Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat!

Christopher Jones is a successful artist who has worked on Batman, Avengers, and Dr. Who titles. From children’s comics to horror titles, he’s penciled and penned it all. You can talk to him about all things art and purchase original prints if you like. Eminently friendly, he’s happy to chat with anyone and take pictures. Pick his brain about how to improve your own art and how to start as a working artist.

Jenevieve Broomall is a cover artist who regularly contracts with smaller but notable publishing houses, such as Valiant, Devil’s Due, IDW, and Aspen. She’s very personable and willing to talk about the tools she uses and how she manages her home/work life. She’s a self-taught stay-at-home mom who loves going to conventions and visiting with colleagues and fans.
